Welcome to the Northern Illinois Chapter of the Crochet Guild of America. We are a local crochet group that meets in northwest suburban Chicago. If you love crochet and want to learn more, come join us!
We are the premiere (first-ever) local chapter of the national organization, the Crochet Guild of America. We encourage all our members to join CGOA, and to attend the annual CGOA crochet conference.
Our next chapter meeting will be our Annual Yarn Exchange and 2020 Program Planning on Saturday, February 8, 2020, from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm at the Rolling Meadows Library.
Diane Passarelli and Corinne Schade will organize our chapter’s annual Yarn Exchange. Bring yarn from your stash that you no longer want to use, and take home yarn from someone else’s stash. Be inspired by yarn that’s new to you.
Also, come with your ideas about crochet techniques you would like to learn or teach during 2020 at our monthly meetings. Ideas that have been suggested: Amigurumi, Bavarian crochet, Beaded bracelet, Christmas ornaments, Corner-to-Corner graphgans, Cuffed shawl, Double-ended hook, Flowers, Hairpin lace, Health and community benefits of crochet, Needle sculpting, Ribbing, Russian join, Tapestry crochet, Tunisian mitred square.
