Welcome to the Northern Illinois Chapter of the Crochet Guild of America. We are a local crochet group that meets in northwest suburban Chicago. If you love crochet and want to learn more, come join us!
Our next meeting is Saturday, July 21, 1:30 to 4:30 pm, at the Rolling Meadows Library. Come join us as we continue our sweater project for the year. Darlene Joyce, owner of Mosaic Yarn Studio in Mt. Prospect, will talk about adding sleeves and pockets to sweaters. We will also learn the mattress stitch and other methods of joining.
We had great fun at the special workshop by Mary Beth Temple on Monday, May 21 at the Arlington Heights Library. We learned four colorful stitch patterns to crochet while working with only one color of yarn at a time.
We are the premiere (first-ever) local chapter of the national organization, the Crochet Guild of America. We encourage all our members to join CGOA, and to attend the annual CGOA crochet conference.
